Solid Waste Management Plan DRAFT

HDR and the Office of Sustainability and Resilience (OSR) provided a quick overview of the draft Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) at last week's Solid Waste Region Board meeting. As discussed in the meeting, we ask that all Board Members review the draft SWMP and provide comments to OSR by January 16, 2026. If you would like to meet with OSR before submitting your comments to discuss the plan and ask questions, please reach out to them by December 31, 2025, to set up a meeting. Please feel free to share the draft within your government, but do not share it publicly.

Send your comments to Leigh Huffman Moyer (leigh.huffmanmoyer@memphistn.gov) and Rachel LaDue (rachel.ladue@memphistn.gov). They would prefer if comments were sent in a Word document referencing with each comment referencing the applicable SWMP page number. OSR will compile the comments into a single document to be discussed at the next SWRB meeting in January.
