Mid-South Climate Action Plan
Mid-South Climate Action Plan: Priority Reduction Measures is a collection of targets and recommendations that will guide the Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) toward a low carbon economy, combat the adverse effects of climate change, and promote a sustainable future.
Memphis Area Climate Action Plan
The Memphis Area Climate Action Plan is a framework for achieving significant reductions in our community's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and fostering a more equitable, healthy, and prosperous community. The plan provides information on existing emissions and outlines specific actions in three sectors - energy, transportation, and waste - to achieve these goals.
Mid-South Regional Greenprint
GREENPRINT 2015/2040 is a plan designed to enhance regional sustainability by establishing a unified vision for a region-wide network of green space areas, or Greenprint. This network serves to address long-term housing and land use, resource conservation, environmental protection, accessibility, community health and wellness, transportation alternatives, economic development, neighborhood engagement, and social equity in the Greater Memphis Area.
Sustainable Shelby
In 2008, Sustainable Shelby was developed by 130 people participating in seven committees and a team of professional urban planners from the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development (DPD). For four months, committees sifted through hundreds of ideas from sustainability best practices research. The final implementation plan resulted in a total of 151 strategies and was intended to be used as a living document to guide the region’s sustainable practices.
Smart Memphis
Smart Memphis recommends advancements in the City's use of technology, analysis of data, and deployment of fiber and discusses how operations and management - people - enable these advancements. The aim of the plan is to illustrate how the city government can serve the people of Memphis by using technology for the primary purpose of improving economic opportunity and quality of life. This plan serves as a starting point to inform how we use technology to shape the future of economic opportunity and quality of life for residents and businesses alike.
